Organic Galapagos San Cristobal

“From the mountains of the enchanted islands.”

Our roaster has been looking for this coffee for over 20 years, since we last carried a Galapagos bean.  We’re excited to share it with you.

Galapagos is a unique origin, off the coast of Ecuador, with coffee grown at a much lower elevation than other quality arabicas. Although the islands are near the equator, the Humboldt current and the trade winds provide a unique microcosm, ideal for coffee.

Only four of the Galapagos islands are inhabited, and coffee is only grown on two of them. This comes from Hacienda El Cafetal, the oldest farm on San Cristobal. It is a UNESCO world heritage site, and the use of chemicals or pesticides are forbidden.

We are excited to share this hand-picked coffee with you. In the cup it is nutty and sweet, with a lingering caramel finish. We hope that you appreciate its special story.— Enjoy!
