Sumatra Mangkuraja Estate

This micro-lot Sumatra comes from the southwest side of the island, from the Mangkuraja Estate.  This is a family owned farm where the coffee is grown under the shade of native trees.  They also have a mill on the premises, so the coffee can be processed on the estate.  It is wet-hulled and dried on raised beds.

Roasted light, this full-bodied bean tastes of toffee and chocolate tones.  It coats your mouth with sweet flavor reminiscent of the tropical fruits that grow around it.
