While this Papua New Guinea coffee was roasting, our roastmaster said that it had an aroma of Meyer lemons. In the cup it has delightful citrus flavor, and floral tones as you sip.
It comes from a co-op set up on neutral ground between two historically antagonistic tribes. They come together in the Nebilyer Valley, at the Kuta Mill, to process their coffee. The mill was established over four decades ago, and according to our broker, the mill owner, Brian Leahy, makes a bonus payment after the harvest to farmers who consistently deliver quality cherries.
This care of the beans shows in the cup: it’s delicious. Enjoy!
