Papua New Guinea Kimel Estate AA

This coffee comes from the Western Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea.  It is grown on the Kimel Estate, which is 100% owned by indigenous people, who came together to purchase the plantation in 1979.  The estate provides schooling for the children, and medical care for all the employees. 

The water for the coffee processing comes from straight from the slopes of Mt. Hagen, and it is recycled after it is used.  The coffee pulp is also recycled as fertilizer.

In the cup, this is a beautiful sweet bean, with a milk chocolate flavor, and a caramel finish. Enjoy.
