Costa Rica White Honey Tarrazu

This is a beautiful micro-lot Costa Rican, from Finca El Llano in the San Marcos de Tarrazú region.  El Llano is owned by Oscar Solís and his two sons Alejandro and Horacio.  The Solis family have their own micro-mill, and are able to control production from seed to export.

This particular coffee is a white honey, meaning that the least amount of mucilage is left on the bean prior to drying.  The process is similar to a pulped natural.  In taste, a white honey is a very clean process, closer to a washed bean.  We’ve roasted this light, and it has sweet flavors of melon and a caramel finish.  It’s a delicious and balanced cup of coffee.
