We don’t often get coffee from Ecuador despite the equator slicing its way through the country. Ecuador sits in a prime spot on the coffee belt (the region coffee is most easily grown – 25 degrees north of the equator and 30 degrees south). However, high production costs have made it difficult for this natural coffee growing heaven to compete in a global market. So when we are lucky enough to get beans from Ecuador, we know two things.
ONE: This coffee is premium and high quality to have made it to us.
And TWO: This is a special treat.
This light roast was cultivated on just a few acres of land. It comes from a small group of community producers who have banded together so that their product will reach international hands. Through this collaboration, the group has been able to build a traceable community blend with a vibrant regional profile. You’ll taste notes of pear, caramel, and dark chocolate brownie when sipping this premium blend.
