Fair Trade Organic El Salvador Las Colinas

This Fair Trade Organic coffee comes from the Asociacion Cooperativa de Produccion Agropecuaria Las Colinas (ACOPALCO), a cooperative made of 89 families from the community of Las Colinas, El Salvador.  The members collectively own the property, and work together to take care of the coffee, from planting to processing–including hand sorting.

Las Colinas is on the far western side of Ecuador, not far from Guatemala and El Imposible National Park.  In certifying their coffee organic, the families are working to preserve their natural resources and use them in a sustainable manner.

In the cup this is a delicious brew, with notes of sweet caramel and hazelnuts.  Enjoy!
