Our coffee supplier says, “Unless you are going to parachute into Santa Cruz Barillas, you should plan for one of the longest coffee treks of your life.”  Although Heuheutenango has a world-renowned reputation as a coffee region, few have ventured to this isolated corner of Guatemala.

These beans are processed by the ASOBAGRI (Asociación Barillense de Agricultores) cooperative, which helps the farmers with micro-loans and education, along with providing a central mill.
