Although coffee production has been a part of Bolivian history for centuries, a new generation of coffee farmers dedicated to producing high-quality beans is now taking center stage.
This beautiful Bolivia from the Samaipata region comes to us from the Rodriguez family, a smallholder producer who grew this Pacamara coffee on their small Finca Tacu. Pacamara is a hybrid of the Pacas and Maragogipe varieties, and has a larger bean size.
Bolivia has had to contend with being South America’s only landlocked country, a fundamental reason why it’s the smallest exporter of coffee on the continent. Despite these difficulties, the country is a paradigm of quality over quantity. The biodiversity, soil health, and elevation helps to create a highly covetable product.
We’ve roasted this light, and it tastes of walnuts with sweet notes of apricot and caramel. It’s delicious and easy to drink.
