Tanzanian Rainforest Alliance Edelweiss Estate

This family estate is located in north central Tanzania, on the slopes of the Ngorongoro Caldera.  The Caldera is a UNESCO world heritage site, home to the world’s highest density of lions, among other animals. 

The farm also grows macadamia nuts, and has bee hives, as well as planting over 50,000 trees.  It is no wonder that they are Rainforest Alliance certified.  You can find their website here, and read more about this unique place.

In the cup this is a delicious light roast, with pronounced citrus tones and a sweet caramel finish.  It tastes of meyer lemon and green apple and you’ll want to drink more.
