This coffee comes from the stellar Huehuetenango growing region of western Guatemala, almost to the Mexican border. It is from the Finca La Providencia, which is owned by Maximiliano Palacios and his family. They are third generation coffee farmers, and the Palhu name is a combination of their family name and the region.
They have a beautiful mill in the center of the farm, where the coffee is meticulously processed. It is SHB, or Strictly Hard Bean, meaning that it is grown above 1350 meters, for a denser bean.
In the cup this is sweet and tastes of stone fruit with a creamy chocolate finish.
