Finca La Esperanza (the farm where this coffee originates) sits on the lower slopes of the San Salvador volcano, affording the land ample soil nutrition and canopy.
You may have noticed this coffee has the word “Natural” in its name. This term refers to the method by which it’s been processed. Unlike a washed bean, the entire coffee cherry is dried with the bean still attached to the rest of the fruit. This process causes fermentation which imparts natural sugars and fruit flavors into the bean. Some describe natural process coffees as earthy and intense in flavor. They often have complex fruity notes.
You’ll taste hints of orange juice, fig, hops and caramel in this bright and balanced light roast.
