Peru Vida Alta SHB

This is a shade-grown Peruvian coffee, that is designated SHB, or strictly hard bean.  That means that it is grown at a high altitude, which leads to lower production and a denser bean–the quality and taste are higher in the cup.

This coffee comes with the Perhusa seal, and while it has conventional certification, it is grown sustainably, with organic fertilizers.  These small farmers grow their coffee in the Andes, and it is fully washed and sun dried.

We’ve roasted this Peru light, and in the cup it is sweet with full-bodied chocolate tones.  It’s a delicious treat to start your day.
