Fair Trade Organic Honduras Marcala

This coffee comes from the Marcala region of Honduras, located within the department of La Paz.  This region is a protected destination of origin, known for its quality coffee.  Over 640 farmers have come together to form the group Café Organico Marcala, S.A. (COMSA). Members of this organization have built a wet mill for processing their beans and a demonstration farm which hosts training in organic farming techniques. COMSA has also been intentional about working with women, which directly improves the quality of life within their communities.

This coffee is well loved by those who try it.  The beans have a deep chocolate scent and in the cup it tastes of toasted pecans with a nice acidity that dances on your tongue.
