Colombian Supremo
Around here today is the last day of school. Congratulations to the graduates of all ages. In our family in addition to the start of summer vacation, we also have a birthday to celebrate. Last weekend we had a pool party for Jack, and I’m sure there are many more pool days to come. Welcome vacation: we are ready for you.
Congratulations also to all the parents who made it through this school year, who shepherded their children out the door every day. You’ve done well. Enjoy the change of pace that summer brings.
This week our coffee is our Colombian Supremo. We’ve featured this many times before, so I’m going to keep it brief. Especially since I want to go to the river with my kids.
Our Colombian is a perennial favorite. This one is the Colombia Antioquia Giraldo Exotico, but that seemed a bit long for a label: thus the Colombian Supremo. Supremo is the highest grade of Colombian coffee, but what matters more is the taste in the cup.
This coffee comes from Colombia’s coffee belt, in the Andes mountains. It is grown by a group of fifteen farmers, who work together to ensure quality and to bring their coffee to market.
This light roast tastes of fruit and soft vanilla flavors. I enjoyed drinking it all morning–it’s easy to sip. You can try a cup on us with the code last day* this week. I hope that you all have a great weekend, whether your schedule has changed or not. Cheers!
