My coffee consumption decreases in the summertime–or on hot spring days, which is technically what we’re experiencing. When the world is white, I tend to have another cup midday to warm my hands. This time of year I drink water in the middle of the day and daydream of heading to the river while I’m sitting at my desk.
Lessening my coffee intake makes me even more particular about the cup or two that I do have each morning. Of course there’s always fresh roasted coffee at our house (and I won’t admit how often we have trouble remembering to bring more home–especially since both Trace and I are at the store daily!). This week, though we brought home a special, single estate Brazilian, and we decided to share it with you too.
Faz das Flores Single-Estate Brazilian is bold, smooth, nutty, and extremely flavorful. It has been a perfect accompaniment to my mornings for the last week. If you are a Brazilian fan, you’ll find that this is more distinctive than most Brazilians. It is clean and mellow with less earthy tones than our usual Brazilian.
In other news, our garden is finally in! I know, we’re late to the planting, and I’m sure we’ll be late to harvest, but we’re excited for the possibility of an abundance of fruits and vegetables coming in the next few months. I’ll let you know when all of our tomatoes are coming from the garden–in the meantime, we’ll be getting them from local farms (who wisely planted earlier than we did).
Come in and enjoy this week’s unique coffee. Since we’re offering this instead of our regular Brazilian, you’re getting an especially good deal on the price: it’s only marked at $12.99, and this week it’s a dollar off per pound. You can also try a free 12 ounce cup by mentioning coupon code “coffee of the week.” Enjoy!
