A December of Deals

I always have mixed feelings about the arrival of December. It’s such a busy month, but it also has some of the most magical moments. I love getting up in the dark and seeing the living room lit only by the soft white lights on the Christmas tree. We get out our box of holiday stories (this is everyone’s favorite) and read one a night, at least when we’re home. I get to see my daughter in the Nutcracker (there are two local productions, see here and here), and listen to her play Christmas carols on the cello. Friday nights bring Cornish Christmas to downtown, and Wednesdays and Sundays there is Victorian Christmas in Nevada City.

Flores is a smaller island in the Indonesia archipelago, located south of Sulawesi and to the east of Bali and Java. It is one of only two places in the world where Komodo dragons live naturally: the other being the neighboring island of Komodo.

This is a fully washed coffee, with the earthy tones that you might expect from an Indonesian bean. But it also tastes of dried plum and light citrus flavors: it’s easy to drink and sweet as you sip.
